Giuseppe and Corino grew up like brothers in Palermo, Italy. Both being adventuresome, they traveled to the United States to see the country and explore. After discovering the beauty of Seattle, they decided to stay and began working in the restaurant business. Eventually, they started La Vita é Bella Café in Belltown, which eventually expanded to include a Pizzeria. Both residents of Magnolia, they wanted to capture the essence of a town they both loved back in Sicily right here in their own back yard. Ristorante Mondello was created! With its bright blue walls, sand-like floors, and sea shell decor, this was like home away from home. Corino's mother, Enza, missed her son too much and ventured out to Seattle to lend her helping hand in the kitchen. Mamma Enza, as she is affectionately known, has been cooking for her family for years, making everything she possibly could from scratch with only the freshest ingredients. She brings her talents and Sicilian style cooking to the kitchen of Mondello Ristorante for all to enjoy. |
